Tilman Jacobs, Esq., is a staff attorney in RMIAN's Detention Program, providing direct representation to detained noncitizens at the Aurora Detention Facility. Previously, he worked for various immigrants' rights organizations and represented asylum seekers, unaccompanied children, and detainees in California, Maryland, Virginia, Massachusetts, and Colorado. Prior to joining RMIAN, Tilman taught Immigration Law and supervised the International Human Rights Clinic at the University of Wyoming College of Law. He also taught Immigration Law at the University of Colorado Law School as an adjunct professor. Tilman received his J.D. with a Certificate in Refugees and Humanitarian Emergencies from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a Legal Research and Writing Teaching Fellow and a Global Teaching Fellow. He also holds a Master's degree in International Policy Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
