Honorable Michael Kidd was appointed as the Office of Hearings Operations Regional Chief Administrative Law Judge for both Region VIII Denver and Region X Seattle, on July 7, 2019. Prior to his acceptance, Judge Kidd was serving as the Acting Regional Chief Administrative Law Judge for Region X since August 2017. Judge Kidd is originally from Millfield, Ohio, and he received his undergraduate degree from Ohio University and his law degree from the University of Akron School of Law. Following graduation, Judge Kidd worked in private practice focusing on workers' compensation, personal injury, Veteran cases, and Social Security disability. In September 2010, Judge Kidd was appointed Administrative Law Judge in SSA at the Toledo Hearing Office. He ultimately transferred to the Akron Hearing Office May of 2011, and served as an ALJ until his appointment to the Hearing Office Chief Administrative Law Judge position in 2014.
