Hannah Leisman, Esq., is a graduate of The George Washington University Law School, where she was the first student in the university's history to pursue and complete a JD/MA in Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies. Hannah's legal career has always been dedicated to empowering and advocating for those going through a difficult time; she has worked in civil rights litigation combating police brutality and employment discrimination as well as represented survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and gender-based discrimination in Title IX proceedings and civil injunctive matters. Prior to joining Gendelman Klimas, Ltd., Hannah worked at the Rocky Mountain Victim Law Center and in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C., where she advocated for survivors by tracking and drafting victim-centered legislation. During law school, Hannah worked extensively in civil rights organizations, participating in the Jacob Burns Domestic Violence Project Clinic, and working for SurvJustice, Inc., where she represented survivors of campus sexual assault in Title IX enforcement, published white papers and engaged in community advocacy. Since joining Gendelman Klimas, Ltd., Hannah has exclusively practiced family law. She has an extensive background advocating for trauma victims including survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and those experiencing gender inequality. In her free time, Hannah enjoys going to concerts, reading, and exploring beautiful Colorado with her partner and her dogs.
