Sandstrom, MSCC, CMSP, CWCP, CMRS, CMBP, LCP, for more than 20 years, Ann Sandstrom has provided Future Medical Cost Projections and Life Care Plans that are specific to the workers' compensation realm. She specializes in helping the parties understand the “big picture” of future medical exposure in preparation for settlement negotiations as well navigating Medicare Secondary Payer compliance. Ms. Sandstrom is a Medicare Set-Aside Certified Consultant, a Certified Workers' Compensation Professional, a Certified Medicare Secondary Payor Professional and a Life Care Planner. She is also a Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist and a Certified Medical Billing Professional. Ms. Sandstrom presents at numerous CLE events regarding future medical valuation and Medicare Set-Asides. She also testifies as an expert witness in civil and federal litigation claims regarding the cost of future medical care. Ms. Sandstrom is a member of Professionals in Workers' Compensation (PWC) and also served as president of the PWC and as a board member. She is experienced in the use of the Colorado Medical Treatment Guidelines, the Colorado Medical Fee Schedule and other Rules of Procedure, Medicare Guidelines, and the Medicare Secondary Payer Act.
