UC Health
Sara Stowell, MSW, LSW, is the Behavioral Health Program Manager for UCHealth.  She joined UCHealth immediately after finishing her military service, as an Army Captain and a proud Logistician, in 2013.  Since leaving the Army, Sara has spent the last five years working to improve the UCHealth patient experience through optimization and realignment of existing resources and advocating for innovative solutions and improvement across multiple hospital departments.  Her experience includes overseeing a complete redesign of the Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, the busiest emergency department in the state of Colorado, as well as managing the development and assisting in the implementation of a system-wide Behavioral Health program.  Each unique project has given her great insight into the importance of process improvement in offering best in class patient care, improving staff and provider satisfaction, examining resource utilization  and building collaborative relationships. Merging her love of strategy, process improvement, and the social work values, Sara has been committed to designing sustainable systems for UCHealth's most vulnerable patients. Sara has a Bachelor's degree from Providence College and a Master's in Social Work from the University of Denver.
