James S. Judd
Baker & Hostetler LLPJames Judd, J.D., LL.M., counsels high-net-worth families on estate planning. He is the leader of the Denver Office Tax Group. James’ practice includes all phases of such planning, including lifetime and testamentary gifts, administration of complex trusts and estates, philanthropic planning, business succession, and estate and income tax mitigation. James works with owners of closely held businesses, corporate executives and family offices in the development and implementation of sophisticated wealth transfer strategies. He implements comprehensive estate and business succession plans in a way that accomplishes the client’s objectives while also minimizing estate and income tax consequences. Clients value James’ ability to offer sound advice on the tax implications for both business and personal endeavors in a simple and understandable way. James has a LL.M., Taxation, Georgetown University Law Center, 2014, with distinction; J.D., Creighton University School of Law, 2012, magna cum laude; M.S., Accounting, Southern Utah University, 2009; and B.S., Accounting, Southern Utah University, 2008. He is admitted into the bars of Colorado and Utah and court admission into U.S. Tax Court.
