Darren Kaplan, Esq., is an associate attorney based in Hoban Law's Denver office. He has been with the firm in a variety of roles, having initially joined as an intern while still a law student. In his time with the firm, Darren has focused on developing his experience, knowledge and skills across Hoban Law Group's substantive practice areas. He primarily handles regulatory and litigation matters, with an increasing interest in international questions concerning the cannabis industry. In his regulatory practice, Darren has experience with legal issues on both sides of the cannabis plant - hemp and marijuana. He has worked on a variety of federal, state, and local compliance questions, including on topics like product packaging and labeling, advertising and marketing, distribution, and licensing, among many others. In his litigation practice, Darren prides himself on passionate and effective advocacy for his clients. Darren's written and courtroom representation is built on critical case evaluation and a commitment to the hard work always required to achieve a just outcome in a dispute. Darren is the Chair of the Cannabis Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association. He has written and contributed to numerous articles, and spoken at conferences and webinars, regarding cannabis laws and regulations.
