SherryLynn Boyles, Esq., is the Executive Director of TESSA in Colorado Springs. TESSA was established in May 1977 in response to a high rate of calls to local law enforcement from women threatened or assaulted by their partners. TESSA is now a multi-faceted agency that includes a confidential safehouse, victim advocacy, counseling and children's programs, a 24/7 SafeLine, and community outreach and dducation. As the Executive Director of TESSA, Ms. Boyles draws from her almost 20 years of executive, fundraising, communications, and program experience. Ms. Boyles's background includes serving as Executive Director of the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault as well as a consultant for the National Domestic Violence Hotline and Teen Dating Abuse Helpline and local shelters in Texas. Boyles also oversaw a $54 million capital campaign to build a new performing arts center in San Antonio, Texas, and was founder and president of SLB Consulting that offered a range of services to assist with strategic planning, managing complex projects, raising funds, and public relations. Boyles, a native Texan, is a lawyer with juris doctor and bachelor of science degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
