Honorable Shane McGovern grew up in the D.C. metropolitan area and worked for a couple of seasons as a National Park Ranger at the Blue Ridge Parkway in southern Virginia. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Maine and his law degree from the University of Montana. After practicing law as an insurance defense attorney for five and a half years, he started with OHO as an attorney advisor in the Billings, Montana office in 2007. He became a senior attorney and transferred to the newly opened Boise, Idaho office in 2010 before being hired as an Administrative Law Judge in the Valparaiso, Indiana office in 2015. Last April, he began a new position as the Hearing Office Chief Administrative Law Judge in the Denver, Colorado office.
