Azra . Taslimi
Rathod MohamedbhaiAzra Taslimi, Esq., is a civil rights and employment attorney at Rathod | Mohamedbhai LLC, where she represents individuals whose constitutional and statutory rights have been violated. Her practice centers on litigating complex cases involving systemic injustice, including the rights of minors harmed by state actors, victims of excessive force by law enforcement, and employees who have faced discrimination or retaliation based on sex, race, national origin, disability, religion, or sexual orientation. Azra has been a litigator for over a decade, committed to advancing equal justice, access, and protection under the law. Her advocacy is grounded in a deep belief that the legal system must be used as a tool to confront power, protect the vulnerable, and demand accountability. In November 2024, she secured a $1 million jury verdict on behalf of a homeless man who was violently beaten and dragged from the lobby of a downtown Denver apartment complex. She is involved in a growing body of litigation representing librarians who have been fired for resisting censorship and refusing to implement politically motivated book bans. She currently represents librarians in Colorado, Texas, and Wyoming in cases that challenge unlawful terminations and protect the integrity of public institutions. She is also at the forefront of defending political expression, representing Pro-Palestinian protestors in a civil rights lawsuit against law enforcement stemming from the 2024 arrests at Auraria Campus, challenging the unlawful use of police power to suppress protected political speech. Azra’s work reflects a lifelong commitment to protecting those whose rights are denied, whose stories are erased, and whose dignity is threatened, bringing litigation not just to win cases, but to help change the systems that allowed the harm in the first place.
