Stephen Coates is Senior Counsel at Amazon.com where he manages the trademark practice for Amazon's digital devices and services, as well as its domain name portfolio team. He has experience in and advises on issues in intellectual property, marketing, branding, licensing, advertising, and social media. Steve is also active in Internet governance policy and serves on the International Trademark Committee's Anti-counterfeiting Committee. Steve was an active member of the ICANN Business Constituency for several years, and served on the 2016 ICANN Nominating Committee. Prior to rejoining Amazon in 2016, Steve worked at Twitter as its first trademark counsel in San Francisco where he managed the trademark, marketing and domain name practices.
