Stephanie L. Scoville

Denver District Court

The Honorable Stephanie Scoville has served as a trial judge on the Denver District Court since November 2021. Prior to her appointment, she worked at the Colorado Office of the Attorney General for 17 years. At the Attorney General’s Office, she served in a variety of litigation-focused roles with an emphasis on employment law, higher education matters, and matters involving constitutional rights. Immediately prior to her appointment, she led the Cross-Unit Litigation Team, a group of senior lawyers and staff who represented clients across the state in complex litigation. She previously worked as a litigation associate in private practice and served as a law clerk to a justice on the Colorado Supreme Court. She holds a law degree from the University of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree from Drake University.
