Professor Andrea Stanton is Associate Professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Denver, and an affiliate faculty member at its Center for Middle East Studies and the Conflict Resolution Institute, both part of the Korbel School of International Studies. She has received grants from the American Academy of Religion, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the US Institute of Peace. Her primary research focuses on contemporary iterations of Muslim piety, as these iterations intersect with various mass and social media forms.
