Thomas Haro has been the Director of the Colorado Disability Determination  Services (DDS) since January of 2017. This is a state agency under the Colorado Department of Human Services, Office of Community Access and Independence. Thomas is a member of the National Council of Disability Determination Directors (NCDDD), a professional association composed of Directors and Managers of the Disability Determination Services (DDS) agencies located in each state, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Thomas started his career at CDHS working in information technology and later served as the DDS as the IT manager. He has been a State employee for 20 years the most current 10 years being at the DDS. Thomas has received a number of individual, state, regional, and national awards for his innovation, leadership and work to provide the highest possible level of public service to the citizens of Colorado.
