Gregory A. Phillips

Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals

The Honorable Gregory A. Phillips was appointed to the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals by President Barack Obama and received his commission on July 9, 2013. In 1987, Judge Phillips graduated with honors from the College of Law at the University of Wyoming and was selected for the Order of the Coif. After that, Judge Phillips served two years as a law clerk to the Honorable Alan B. Johnson, United States District Court Judge, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. From 1989 to 2002, Judge Phillips practiced law. During that time, he served two terms as a State Senator. From January 2003 to December 2010, he served as an Assistant United States Attorney in Cheyenne. From 2011 to 2013, Judge Phillips served as Wyoming Attorney General.
