Strategic Action Planning Group on Aging
James Riesberg is the Chair of the Colorado Strategic Action Planning Group on Aging, created by HB15-1033 in 2015.  He earned a BA in History and Economics and an MA in Gerontology from the University of Northern Colorado.  Since 1992 he has been active in local, state, and national organizations focusing on housing, hunger, health and aging issues.  Riesberg served as a State Representative, District 50, (2005-2011) and Colorado Insurance Commissioner (2011-2013).  He currently serves on the Weld County Area Agency on Aging Advisory Board and the North Range Behavioral Health Board of Directors.  He is a Disaster Preparedness educator for the Weld County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program and has served on the Local Government and Business Affairs Subcommittee of the Greeley Chamber of Commerce and the Community Advisory Board of the UNC College of Performing and Visual Arts.
