Yuko Funaki joined Kobayashi, Sugita & Goda in 2012, and practices in the firm's employment and labor law section. Ms. Funaki received her Juris Doctor degree from Williams S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawaii, and her Bachelor of Laws degree from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Funaki was an associate attorney with the law firm of Imanaka Kudo & Fujimoto. While at Imanaka Kudo & Fujimoto, Ms. Funaki's practice focused on land use development, including environmental review, permitting, zoning, and administrative proceedings. Ms. Funaki is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She is licensed to practice law in all state and federal courts in the State of Hawaii. Prior to entering law school, Ms. Funaki was a manager at Nippon Life Insurance Company. As a Japanese native, she is fluent in both speaking and writing the language.
