Michael Chiappetta is a senior editor in the Intellectual Property & Technology group of Practical Law, a Thomson Reuters company. Before joining Practical Law in 2015, Michael was a trademark and copyright litigator for 16 years at Fross, Zelnick, Lehrman & Zissu, PC, a leading intellectual property litigation firm in New York. At Fross, Michael serviced clients primarily in the entertainment, fashion, investment services and consumer products industries, handling all stages and aspects of federal court litigation, as well as hundreds of opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the Federal Circuit. In his spare time, Michael also has represented and managed several musicians and musical groups, typically on a pro bono basis.
