Snapchat Inc.Dom Perella is Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Snap Inc., the maker of Snapchat. He oversees the company's litigation, heads up the compliance function, and takes on other projects at the request of the General Counsel. Prior to joining Snap Inc., Dom was a partner at Hogan Lovells US LLP in Washington, D.C. and a member of the firm's Supreme Court and Appellate Litigation team. Dom argued and won Comptroller v. Wynne , 135 S. Ct. 1787 (2015), in the Supreme Court and led the successful merits briefing in many other cases before the high court. In 2014, the National Law Journal named Dom to its "40 Under 40" list of Rising Stars. It wrote: "When it comes to capturing the attention of U.S. Supreme Court justices, Dominic Perella of Hogan Lovells has a magic touch. In the past three years, Perella has written winning briefs in five U.S. Supreme Court cases." Dom also argued approximately 15 other cases before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, Third Circuit, Fourth Circuit, Sixth Circuit, and Federal Circuit, among other courts. He wrote a regular column on Supreme Court developments for msnbc.com. Before entering private practice, Dom served as a law clerk to The Honorable Sandra L. Lynch, Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Dom graduated summa cum laude from the New York University School of Law.
