Catherine O. Brown practices immigration and naturalization law exclusively, with a particular focus on family- and business-related immigration. Family-based immigration includes working with families and children, including adopted children, on obtaining immigrant visas through the U.S. Department of State or through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Her practice also includes K-1 fiancé visas, Special Immigrant Juvenile petitions, and reuniting refugee and asylee families. Business-based immigration includes obtaining visas for professional workers (H-1B, TN, L-1A and B, and E-3), for entrepreneurs (E-1/E-2), and for artists and entertainers (O and P), as well as the permanent residence process through PERM and I-140 petitions. She has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 2002 and a member of the Colorado Bar Association since 2001. She served as chair of the Immigration Section of the CBA in 2010-2011. She served on the Executive Committee of the Solo Small Firms Section from 2013-2016. She served as chair of the DMV Committee for Colorado AILA and now serves on the DMV Executive Committee for AILA National. She has spoken on various topics related to family and business immigration and refugee/asylee law. She obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame, her Masters of Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver College of Law.
