Laura Lunn, Esq., (she/her/ella) is RMIAN's Director of Advocacy & Litigation. Through this role, she works alongside clients, staff members, and community partners to lift-up the experiences of the people RMIAN serves. Laura strives to increase public awareness about how the U.S. immigration system functions and advocates for ways to make it more humane, with a focus on ending the use of immigration detention and ensuring that every person who appears before the immigration courts has access to no-cost legal representation. Laura practices removal defense and engages in federal court litigation before U.S. district and circuit courts. Additionally, Laura teaches an Asylum Law & Advocacy Practicum at the Sturm College of Law - University of Denver. Following law school, Laura clerked as an Attorney Advisor for the El Paso Immigration Courts through the U.S. Attorney General's Honors Program. Before joining RMIAN Laura worked in private practice and served as the Interim Managing Attorney at the family detention center in Dilley, Texas. Laura attended the University of Iowa College of Law and earned her B.A. at Colgate University.
