Amy Hansen, Esq., is a shareholder and director at the law firm of Otten Johnson Robinson Neff & Ragonetti. Amy assists real estate owners and developers in connection with their acquisition, development, sales and leasing activities. Her specialty areas include representing developers of resort, transit-oriented and other mixed-use master planned communities and condominiums. Amy has developed particular expertise in the Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act (CCIOA) and drafting complicated governance documents for those types of communities. Before the building permit is issued for a project, proactively trying to address what happens if there are allegations of construction defects is part of the discussion on these types of projects. In a litigation context, Amy has served as an expert and consultant on CCIOA related matters, both in the construction defect context and otherwise. Amy also routinely represents clients in the purchase and sale context, on single asset and portfolio transactions involving a variety of property types, including office, medical office, single-user retail, and multi-family.
