Terry G. Ritz

Grant Ritz is Senior Counsel, IP Litigation, for the Hewlett-Packard Company where he currently manages IP litigation and pre-litigation disputes primarily for the Enterprise Business Group and Personal Systems Group at HP. Over the years, Mr. Ritz has counseled on business transactions and served various roles in HP's patent development program. He is a registered patent attorney. Mr. Ritz was instrumental in piloting a program that is now widely used inside HP to manage outside counsel assigned to patent development matters. Prior to joining HP, Mr. Ritz was Division Counsel at Compaq. Mr. Ritz began his legal career at Pravel, Hewitt, Kimball & Krieger in Houston, Texas. Prior to law school, he worked for Texas Instruments, E-Systems and Advanced Micro Devices as an electrical engineer. Mr. Ritz holds a BSEE from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, an MBA from the University of Dallas, a JD from Texas Wesleyan University and is admitted to practice in Colorado and Texas.
