Scott Weingust leads the Intellectual Property Valuation Practice at Stout Risius Ross, Inc. (Stout). He has over 20 years of experience providing consulting services to corporations, law firms, investment firms, universities, and other organizations primarily in the areas of intellectual property ("IP") valuation, disputes, and licensing. Mr. Weingust has provided testimony as a damages and valuation expert in IP-related litigation. He has also valued and/or priced patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights, and other intangible assets for a variety of purposes including licensing negotiations, purchase/sale transactions, joint ventures, litigation, strategic decision-making, capital raising, transfer pricing and other corporate tax issues, trusts and estates, financial reporting, and others. Mr. Weingust is currently an adjunct faculty member at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago where he teaches a course on IP valuation.
