Karen Langsley, Esq., has over 30 years of experience practicing traditional and non-traditional family law, with a special emphasis on parenting issues and child welfare law. She has practiced in California, Texas and Colorado.  She is committed to the benefits of a Collaborative Law practice for families.  Karen has authored many papers, and continues to teach trial skills and special issues for litigators in the wake of the recent marriage equality decisions. She actively advocates for improvement in child welfare, and currently serves as a GAL with the Colorado Office of the Child's Representative.  Karen continues to work in Colorado and nationally on CLEs addressing same-sex parentage, transgender issues and the impact of the Supreme Court decisions on LGBT families.  She is a recipient of the Travis County Women Lawyers Pathfinder award, and of the Judge Norman W. Black Award from the LGBT Law Section of the Texas State Bar.
