Johanna L. Hendley

Modern Family Law

Johanna Hendley, Esq., born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, knew at an early age that she wanted to be an attorney. Growing up, Johanna volunteered at animal rescues, domestic violence shelters, and with Habitat for Humanity. That invaluable experience led her to dedicate her career to helping others. Johanna moved to Colorado in 2014 for law school, and although her career took her to Omaha and Toronto for a period of time after she graduated, she has been glad to be back practicing law in Colorado since 2020, originally as a prosecutor. When she transitioned into private practice, she found family law to be a natural fit given her empathetic nature and passion for helping others. Johanna is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the El Paso County Bar Association. She also serves on the Colorado Bar Association’s Board of Governors and is active in the High School Mock Trial Committee. She was also appointed to the 12th Judicial District’s Judicial Performance Commission in 2021 and has been active on the Commission since that time.
