Stefan R. Chacon
Montgomery & Andrews P.A.Stefan Chacón is an associate in the Albuquerque, New Mexico office of Montgomery & Andrews, P.A. His practice involves complex civil and commercial litigation, health law, professional liability and appeals. Mr. Chacón represents health care providers in the areas of fraud and abuse, false claims, compliance, and licensing. He also represents individuals and businesses-from sole proprietorships to large corporations-in business disputes and strategic counseling. A native of Arroyo Hondo, New Mexico, Mr. Chacón received his B.S. in Economics from the University of LaVerne, and his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School. Prior to law school, Mr. Chacón served in the Peace Corps in Ecuador, where he worked in small business development and microfinance. While in law school, Mr. Chacón earned a position on the Moot Court Board and the Mock Trial Board, and served as President of the Hispanic Law Student Association. He also interned at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. Before joining Montgomery & Andrews, Mr. Chacón clerked for the Honorable Richard C. Bosson of the New Mexico Supreme Court, and practiced for three years with a local litigation firm. He is admitted to practice law in California and New Mexico and is fluent in Spanish.
