Sean D. Stromberg

Sean Dean Stromberg was born in Cuernavaca, Mexico in 1957. His childhood was always linked to the bicultural world since his parents were from the U.S.A. and he undertook his studies in both countries. His mother influenced him to study writing, linguistics, and teaching. He began his career as a language teacher in Mexico in 1980 specializing in English as a second language. He later taught English and Spanish in California and Colorado for several years. Afterward, he founded his own court interpreting firm, Stromberg Interpreters/Translators, in Colorado and successfully worked in court interpreting and translation for many years.
 
Sean has dedicated himself to perfecting his craft during his career and has obtained several certifications, including the Federal Court Interpreting Certification and the State Consortium Certification. In the education field, he has taught court interpreting courses through the University of Colorado, Denver and the University of Arizona. He is presently developing and teaching legal Spanish courses to attorneys and court staffs. Sean has worked as a staff interpreter in the Boulder, Colorado courts for 25 years.
 
Sean’s interests include photography, Latin American History, philosophy, and art. He has distinguished himself in drawing scale maps. He enjoys traveling to Mexico and South America for research and pleasure.
