Scott Heileson is a Senior Patent Counsel at Google Inc. He is the lead patent counsel for Google [x], building patent portfolios in support of “moonshot” projects such as autonomous vehicles, head-mounted displays and smart contact lenses. He has completed numerous patent acquisitions and provided counsel on technology and patent licensing transactions. Prior to joining Google in 2010, Scott was a Patent Attorney at Adobe Systems Incorporated, and an Associate at Blakely, Sokoloff, Taylor & Zafman LLP. Scott is a USPTO registered Patent Attorney and a member of the California Bar, with a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and a B.S. in Biochemistry from UCLA.
