Michael R. Garry Ph.D.

Michael Garry is a Managing Toxicologist in Exponent's office in Bellevue, Washington and an affiliate assistant professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences at the University of Washington.  He has over 20 years of experience analyzing the biological effects of chemicals on humans and other organisms. He is a toxicologist with a specialty in reproductive and developmental toxicology and risk assessment. Dr. Garry has designed and overseen laboratory-testing programs aimed at understanding mechanisms of toxicity and developing safe exposure levels for industrial chemicals. Dr. Garry has conducted safety evaluations for a variety of medical devices and consumer products. As an environmental toxicologist, he specializes in applying risk-based methods to the design, implementation, and analysis of environmental and remedial investigations. He also has a background in nutrition and enjoys combining this with his toxicology background to address issues related to chemical exposures from subsistence level consumption of fish and other foods.
