Kelly . McPherson

4th Judicial District

The Honorable Kelly J. McPherson is currently serving as a District Court Judge in the 4th Judicial District (Colorado Springs) where she presides over a domestic relations docket, civil matters, criminal cases, and appeals. Kelly is also currently working with another Judge to revamp the Civil Pro Bono Project in the 4th. Previous to this role, Kelly served as a Magistrate in the 4th where she presided over the temporary protection order docket and a domestic relations docket which included all post-decree emergency Motions. Before joining the bench, Kelly was a long-time family law practitioner and founding partner at Knies, Helland, and McPherson Law (now KHM LAW) in Colorado Springs and Castle Rock. Before Kelly practiced law, she served in the Air Force as a non-uniformed federal agent where she investigated felony level crimes. She also had a brief stint as a professor at the Air Force Academy where she taught professional ethics.
