University of California Irive School of LawProfessor Catherine Fisk is the Chancellor's Professor of Law at the School of Law, University of California, Irvine, where she teaches courses on labor and employment law, the legal profession, and the first amendment. She is the author or co-author of dozens of articles and several books, including Labor Law in the Contemporary Workplace (West 2d ed. 2014), The Legal Profession: Ethics in Contemporary Practice (West 2014), and the prize-winning Working Knowledge: Employee Innovation and the Rise of Corporate Intellectual Property (UNC Press 2009, 2014). She received her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Princeton University. Prior to entering academia, she practiced law, with an emphasis on labor law and civil and appellate litigation, in Washington, D.C.
