Deborah Demic, Esq., received her BS from American University and law degree from Brooklyn Law School. She is a member of the New York State Bar. Deborah began working for SSA when she joined the New York Hearing Office as a staff attorney in 1995. In 1997, Deborah began working in the New York Regional Office specializing in labor management relations and lead trainer for all employees in the region. During her tenure in New York, Deborah oversaw the Regional Chief Administrative Law Judge's attorney fee workload for eight years. In that capacity, she provided ongoing training to Administrative Law Judges, hearing office staff, and social security representatives. Since moving out to Colorado in 2011, Deborah has worked in the ODAR Regional Office. Her areas of expertise continue to be labor relations, policy compliance, attorney fees and legal training. Since 2010, Deborah has been a member of ODAR's national decision writing cadre, traveling throughout the country training new attorneys and paralegals for the Social Security Administration.
