William J. Morris III
William Morris, III, is President and Counsel for Hershey Chocolate & Confectionery Corporation, the IP holding subsidiary of The Hershey Company. In his current role, William manages a portfolio of nearly 10,000 global trademark registrations and applications covering iconic brands such as HERSHEY'S, REESE'S, KISSES, JOLLY RANCHER, TWIZZLERS, and many others. Prior to joining Hershey, William spent over five years as Global Trademark Counsel for Under Armour, Inc., and practiced at large, small, and IP boutique firms over the course of his 16 year legal career. A graduate of Wake Forest University and Vermont Law School, William also holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Technology Law from Franklin Pierce Law Center. William is a self-described trademark junkie who watches television for commercials, prefers highways with billboards, receives at least 5 catalogs per day in the mail, and even sleeps with a copy of the Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure next to his bed. It seems safe to say that William will be in his element during the Rocky Mountain IP Institute.
