Heather Haney, Esq., is a partner at Kaplan Kirsch LLP, focusing on real estate, land use, and public and private financing in both Colorado and California. Heather represents landowners and conservation organizations in complex conservation easement transactions throughout the mountain west. Heather regularly provides advice regarding the structuring of conservation transactions and has successfully closed multi-year gift and bargain-sale conservation easements, often requiring the coordination of numerous state and local government funds and private foundations and the negotiation of option agreements, subordination agreements, life estates, deeds, and tax credit applications. In addition to her conservation easement practice, Heather counsels her clients in all phases of real estate acquisition, development, leasing, financing, and disposition. She represents public and private sector clients with small and large scale development projects, including redevelopment projects, transit-oriented developments, airports, infrastructure public-private partnerships, renewable energy projects, and residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Heather earned her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
