Vanderborgh Family Law, LtdSusan Vanderborgh, JD, MSW, MDiv., is a Child and Family Investigator and owner of Vanderborgh Family Law, LTD. Since joining Colorado’s statewide CFI roster in 2014, she has been appointed as the CFI in over 1,100 cases, many involving complex issues such as domestic violence, child abuse, and substance use. Her work supports a wide range of families, including kinship caregivers, LGBTQIA+ parents and c hildren, and those navigating neurodiversity, incarceration, and non-traditional caregiving structures. Licensed in both Colorado and California, Ms. Vanderborgh brings a dual background in law and social work to her role as a CFI in high-conflict domestic relations matters. Her legal career includes service as a deputy district attorney in San Diego County, staff attorney at Boulder-based Bridge to Justice, and as a mediator in domestic relations matters. She has also worked as a mental health clinician in community-based settings and was a recipient of a federal HRSA grant.
