Susan Vanderborgh, Esq., is an attorney at the Boulder, Colorado based non-profit Bridge to Justice. Bridge to Justice provides legal representation in civil matters to modest means clients. Susan's practice is limited to Family Law Matters. Susan has been licensed to practice law since 1990, first in California and then in Colorado. Susan began her legal career as an intern for the New Hampshire Appellate Defender program and student law clerk for the New Hampshire Supreme Court. After graduation Susan worked as a Deputy District Attorney in San Diego, working first in child support enforcement and them moving to prosecute criminal sex crimes. After leaving the District Attorney's office Susan spent several years working on a large scale complex litigation matter in the San Diego office of Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro. An Ordained Presbyteryian (USA) Minister, Susan has also worked as a hospital and hospice chaplain, and Minister to Children and Families. Trained as a mediator and Colorado Child and Family Investigator, Susan brings a deep appreciation for involving professionals with skill sets outside the legal arena and appreciates the role of coaches, financial professionals, and mediators to help clients through the emotional and chaotic process that divorce can often be.
