Alyson Jaen, Esq., serves as Of Counsel at Messner Reeves, specializing in corporate and business law for cannabis brands, including licensing and regulatory compliance. She represents clients before the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division, the Denver Department of Excise and Licenses and other local regulatory agencies. Alyson also brings to her practice over 10 years of expertise in real estate law, contracts, entity formation, mergers and acquisitions and transactional law. Previously, Alyson has served as legal counsel for operating businesses and advised public and private companies on how to operate in the cannabis space. After earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law she practiced law at several firms that specialize in cannabis law. In 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2025 she was awarded recognition on the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch list. Alyson serves on the Cannabis Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association and the National Bar Association.
