Julie A. Moore

Julie Moore is president and founder of Employment Practices Group in Wellesley, MA.  She founded Employment Practices Group in 1998 to work with organizations on best practices of human resource management, consistent with the law and industry standards.  Julie has been practicing law for 23 years in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.  She consults and advises on employment law and human resources issues; is retained as an independent investigator for alleged harassment and misconduct; drafts policies, procedures and handbooks; and represents employees and employers in workplace matters.  She is frequently retained to offer expert witness testimony on employment issues.  She conducts in-house seminars for employers and speaks at employment seminars offered by the New Hampshire Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Association of Workplace Investigators, the Law Education Institute's National CLE Conference, and other organizations.  She has authored close to 100 publications in legal and trade journals.  She earned her B.A. from Boston College in 1988, summa cum laude, and her J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School in 1992.  Julie is a member of the American Bar, the New Hampshire Bar and the Massachusetts Bar.  She is a past chair and current member of the NHBA's Labor & Employment Law Section.  Julie is a former board member and conference chair for the Association of Workplace Investigators, is a board member and program chair for the Greater Merrimack Valley Human Resources Association (a SHRM chapter), and is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management.  She also is a certified senior professional in human resources and received her SHRM-SCP designation. Julie was nominated by her peers and was inducted as a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Attorneys.  She was also appointed by the Town of Wellesley to a 3-year term to the Human Resources Board, overseeing a staff of five employees, and is Vice Chair of the Board.
