Sean P. Brune
US Social Security Administration Regional OfficeSean P. Brune became Regional Commissioner of the Social Security Administration's Denver Region on March 1, 2011. As the Regional Commissioner, he is the senior official responsible for administration of the nation's social insurance programs in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, and North Dakota. In his career with Social Security, he has worked in field offices, regional office, and at Social Security headquarters in Baltimore, MD. In April, 2014, Mr. Brune began a temporary assignment as the Acting Assistant Deputy Commissioner in the Office of Retirement and Disability Policy. In this assignment, he manages the planning, development, issuance, and evaluation of operational policies, standards, and instructions for programs administered by SSA. Mr. Brune earned a Bachelor's Degree in English from Bucknell University, and a Master's of Public Administration from the University of Baltimore. He is also an alumnus of the Federal Executive Institute in Charlottesville, VA and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government executive leadership program.
