He is a trial lawyer who is often retained on the eve of trial to provide companies with a trial option when they need one and has represented clients in jurisdictions throughout the country. Michael's practice focuses on solving complex business litigation matters, including mass/toxic tort, product liability, pharmaceutical, class action and commercial litigation. He has over twenty-five years' experience creating and implementing national litigation strategies for companies named in products and premises liability litigation, including developing corporate representatives and defending C-suite executives and key employees. Michael also serves companies as local counsel, guiding his clients through the particular challenges of litigating matters in Illinois, Wisconsin and Missouri. Michael is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Texas and Pennsylvania. Mr. Drumke serves as national trial counsel for a defendant named in asbestos-related litigation across the country. He has also served as national coordinating counsel for a manufacturer defendant in asbestos-related litigation and lead counsel for several premises owners named in toxic tort litigation in the Midwest. He has authored articles and given presentations nationally on the subjects of recent developments in toxic tort law, class actions, environmental litigation and insurance coverage issues. Mr. Drumke has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America for Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions - Defendants. He has been recognized as a member of the Leading Lawyers Network in the areas of Class Actions/Mass Tort Defense, Products Liability Defense and Toxic Torts Defense and was recently named by the Leading Lawyers Network as one of the top ten Illinois lawyers in that area. Mr. Drumke received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Tufts University in 1988. Mr. Drumke obtained his law degree from University of Wisconsin in 1991. While in law school, he served as a Member and Senior Administrative Editor of the Wisconsin Law Review. He serves as the Immediate Past Chair of the Section Officers Conference of the American Bar Association (“ABA”). He is a Past Chair of the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (“TIPS”) of the ABA and serves as a section delegate for TIPS in the ABA House of Delegates.
