Karen Buchanan, RN, BSN, is a professional geriatric care manager and has been a Registered Nurse since 1979. She initially worked in the intensive care units until moving into home care and then Care Management in 1995. She opened her company Colorado Elder Care Solutions in 1999 which provides care management services and is also a class A home care company. She provides Guardianship services through her company Guardian Solutions. She is a member of the National Gerontological Association, The National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and the National Guardianship Association. Karen has been certified as both a care manager and guardian since early 2000. She been a board member of the Western Region of Geriatric Care Managers for several years and is a co-founder of the Colorado Guardianship Association.
