Emma Shinn, Esq., is a military and criminal defense attorney with a worldwide practice based out of Castle Rock, Colorado. She retired from the Marine Corps in 2014 after 20 years of service - both as enlisted and officer. She has deployed six times, including a combat deployment to Fallujah, Iraq as part of Operation PHANTOM FURY. She's tried criminal cases from Okinawa, Japan to Washington, DC, and focuses on serious felony cases. In November 2016, Emma and a small group of advocates formed the Colorado Name Change Project which helped over 1,700 people in the past year with their name and gender marker updates.
