Dominique D. Mendiola
Colorado Department of Revenue - Marijuana Enforcement DivisionDominique Mendiola serves as the Senior Director of the Colorado Department of Revenue's Marijuana Enforcement Division and Natural Medicine Division. She is also the President of the Cannabis Regulators Association (CANNRA), a nonpartisan association of government agencies involved in cannabis regulation. Mendiola began her work in marijuana policy and regulation in 2014, where she served in various roles, including the Division's Policy Advisor, then Deputy Director prior to her appointment to Senior Director in 2021. In January 2024, Mendiola's role expanded to include the stand-up of the Department's Natural Medicine Division and responsibility to support the implementation of a regulated framework for natural medicine services in Colorado, with an initial focus on psilocybin-based services. Mendiola received her political science degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and her law degree from the University of Denver. Prior to joining the Department of Revenue, she practiced law in Texas and Colorado.
