Alexandra (Alex) Davis, Esq., is currently the Water Resources Manager for Colorado Parks and Wildlife.  In this capacity she helps the agency develop, manage and protect their water rights portfolio.  Alex came to this position after a stint in private practice and consulting with the firms of Vranesh and Raisch and GBSM.  Prior to working in the private sector, she was the Assistant Director of the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, where she worked with the Colorado Division of Water Resources, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, the Division of Wildlife and other state agencies on all water issues including those arising from interstate river compacts, state water supply and use, federal agency regulation and federal reserved water rights.  In that position she sat for the Director on a variety of boards including the Colorado Water Conservation Board and the Colorado Ground Water Commission.  Under Governor Ritter, She was the Director of the Interbasin Compact Committee, a committee charged with addressing Colorado's water supply future.  Alexandra also represented the Colorado on the Upper Colorado River Commission, at 7-Basin State Meetings and the Western States Water Council. Alexandra was the First Assistant Attorney General in Colorado prior to joining the Natural Resources Department. In her previous role, she supervised the attorneys working in the attorney general's water unit. She served as an assistant attorney general, litigating water rights cases for the State Engineer's Office, the Colorado Water Conservation Board and the Division of Wildlife for over 11 years. She spent a year in Billings Montana, as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney representing the Department of Interior Agencies in the Montana general water rights adjudication.
