Samie Rossi is the Director of Long-Term-Care Management at The Hughes Law Firm where she assists the firm's elder law attorneys with case management and analysis, multi-year forensic accountings, penalty calculations, and annuity design. Ms. Rossi also helps prepare estate planning documents, Medicaid applications, single-entry-point referrals, and authorities for administrative hearings. Ms. Rossi began her career in 1994 at the Adams and Arapahoe county departments of human services. She also worked at the Arapahoe/Douglas Mental Health Center as a case manager and consumer representative. She has successfully testified before the Colorado Joint Budget Committee to continue funding for the Home and Community Based Services program for the mentally ill. Ms. Rossi worked on a grant with the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Finance “Systems Change for Real Choices” to improve the functional assessment (100.2). She also served as an evaluator on the Ruth Goebel class-action lawsuit and was an active member of the Arapahoe County Adult Protection Team for ten years.
