Families FirstClaire Poole, Psy.D., is a clinical psychologist who has been working with children and youth in the Denver area for 40 years. In his private practice he provides therapy and psychological assessment for children, youth, and their families. In addition to his private practice, he has worked with human services and juvenile corrections in various counties providing psychological assessment and consultation for several programs including therapeutic foster care, attachment-focused early intervention, sex abuse, intensive adolescent services, foster parent training, and adoptions. Presently he is the Clinical Director at Families First, a residential treatment program for abused children, where he has been since 1991. He is the consultant to the Juvenile Diversion program in the 18th Judicial District and provides psychological services for youth through the OADC. For the last 20 years he has been teaching advanced psychological assessment at the University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology and serves on dissertation committees for selected students. Occasionally he has time to go fishing where he seeks to attach himself to a nice trout.
