Ryan Pollock is a Managing Partner of Iron Gate Capital (IGC), a PE investment firm based in Boulder, Colorado that was formed by operating executives to invest their own wealth in compelling opportunities on a deal-by-deal opt-in basis. IGC investors include approx. 60 current and retired CEO's, Presidents and senior executives from successful companies across a range of industries in North America and Europe. Prior to joining IGC, Ryan was a Managing Director at Meritage Funds, a PE/VC firm based in Denver, Colorado. Earlier in his career, Ryan held several management positions at Investec Asset Management, a $115 billion global investment company based in London, England. He holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Cape Town in South Africa, a graduate degree in International Economics, Politics and Philosophy from Oxford University and an MBA with a specialization in Private Equity from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a board member of the Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association and the Founder and Chairman of Starfish Greathearts Foundation USA, a not-for-profit serving the needs of children orphaned as a result of the AIDS pandemic in South Africa. He serves on the Boards of IGC portfolio companies Acustream (www.acustream.com), Branded Online (www.brandedonline.com), HZO (www.hzo.com), and is a Board Observer at Kapost (www.kapost.com). He also oversees Iron Gate's LP investment position in the recently formed Techstars Ventures Fund III (formerly Bullet Time Ventures Fund III).
