Melissa M. Brownstein, CPA, As Partner in charge of the Private Equity Division for EKS&H, LLLP, Melissa is able to apply her entrepreneurial zeal to engage with the best of investor groups to cover critical support services. Her experience encompasses nearly 20 years' in public accounting, including tenure at two of the largest international public accounting firms. As a Manager with Ernst & Young's M&A practice out of Los Angeles, she played a key role in bringing to close numerous deals throughout the tech boom era. Melissa serves on the Board of the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado at Boulder.  Her professional certifications include Certified Public Accountant, member of the Colorado Society of CPAs, and member of the American Institute of CPAs. Aside from her dedication to her professional work, Melissa is a proactive civic volunteer, holding a particular passion for children's advocacy, women's leadership opportunities, and higher education reform.  Melissa is a member of Mile High United Way Tocqueville and co-chair of the United Way Business Alliance, as well as a 2013 graduate of Denver Metro Chamber's Leadership Denver. Melissa graduated summa cum laude from the University of Colorado Boulder with a BS in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting.  Melissa and her husband, Todd, enjoy travel to remote parts of the world, as well as exploring their native Colorado via hiking, biking, and golf excursions.
