Kyle C. Velte
University of Kansas School of LawVisiting Assistant Professor Kyle C. Velte is a visiting assistant professor at Texas Tech University School of Law, where she teaches Gender, Sexuality & the Law, Evidence, Torts, and Professional Responsibility. She is a former President of the Colorado LGBT Bar Association. She is a past member of the Colorado Chief Justice's Commission on the Legal Profession, as well as a former member of the Judicial Performance Commission for the Second Judicial District and former board member for the Colorado Judicial Institute. Her scholarship examines the intersection of sexuality, gender and the law. Her most recent articles, which have appeared in the Yale Law & Policy Review, Connecticut Law Review, and Brooklyn Law Review, focus on marriage equality in Indian Country and on the relationship between religious liberty and anti-discrimination laws.
