Stefan Nagel is an internationally recognized authority on the protection of environmentally and culturally significant properties in private ownership. Following an active real estate and environmental law practice in the United States and abroad, Stefan served for nearly 15 years as legal counsel to The Nature Conservancy and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Since 1995 Stefan has been Of Counsel to the Law Office of Stephen J. Small, Esq., P. C., Newton (Boston), Massachusetts. Stefan has planned, negotiated and closed hundreds of land conservation and historic preservation transactions both in the United States and abroad on behalf of innumerable property owners and land conservation organizations. He represents non-profit organizations active in domestic and international land conservation activities. In addition to producing a number of publications, Stefan has conducted presentations throughout North America and Europe. Stefan received his law degree (J.D.) from Boston University and his undergraduate degree (B.A.) from Middlebury College.
